Zoran has been working as a barista coach in Franck since 2013. He fell in love with coffee through catering, which his family has been involved in for more than 60 years, and in the end he decided to try working in this sector. Zoran began his education as a barista in 2004 by going to PERAL barista school, and two years later he continued his education at the Università Del Caffè Illy in Trieste.
He acquired the title of barista coach in 2008 at the Mokarabia training center in Bologna, from where he continued to build a career as a barista coach in Croatia and Slovenia. He stayed there until 2013, when he moved to Franck where he continued his education according to SCA criteria and received a certificate that today represents the most respected standard in the coffee industry around the world.
Zoran has achieved numerous achievements in his career and won prestigious awards. As a competitor, according to the rules of the prestigious World Barista Championship 2008, he won silver, a year later bronze, while in 2010 he won silver again.
As a sensory judge and one of the organizers in the period from 2011 to 2013, he participated in the Croatian Barista Challenge (CBC), and he also collaborated with SCA leaders Sonja Grant, Luigi Lupi and Colin Smith.
Today, for the sixth year in a row, Zoran is one of the founders and judges of the Sarajevo Latte Art Challenge, the leading Latte Art competition in the region, and in 2019 he was certified as a technical judge at AEHTA - the largest European catering competition.
He loves his job as a barista coach, among other things, because "the years spent in that job enable even more training and style, but also the acquisition of a great reputation."
